General Telephone instructions

▪ External call: Dial 7

▪ Internal call: Dial 4 digit extension

▪ Emergency call: Dial 911

 

Telephone Features

 

Transfer 

Blind Transfer

▪ Press the Transfer button

▪ Enter the destination extension & hang up

 

Consultative Transfer 

▪ Press the Transfer button

▪ Enter the destination extension & wait for the call to be answered.

▪ Hang up to complete transfer, or press the flashing Call Appearance button to return to the caller.

 

Conference: 3 parties max (2 plus you)

▪ Make your first call

▪ Press the Conference button & make your next call

▪ Press the Select button to complete the conference

 

Park- Park a call on another telephone 

▪ While on an active call, press the Hold key

▪ Dial *11 plus the extension where you wish to park the call.

▪ Hang up to complete the Park

 

Unpark- Unpark a call from a telephone 

▪ Lift the handset or press the speaker button

▪ Dial*12 plus the extension where the call is parked


Directory- Find phone extensions on your system 

▪ Press the Directory button.  Names sort alphabetically as First Name.

▪ Press the up/down arrow to select the name, or enter the first few letters of the first or last name.               

▪ Press the up/down arrow to select the name & press the Select button to select & dial it. 

▪ To return to the home display, press the Directory button. 


History - View your calls: To, From or Missed 

▪ Press the History button

▪ Press the up/down arrow to select the call. Press the Select button to dial the call.

▪ To return to the home display, press the History button.

History Icons:  Left arrow: call made To your phone, Right arrow: call made From your phone, Curved arrow: Missed call.

Voice Mail

 

First time Voice Mailbox Set Up

▪ Press the Voice Mail button

▪ Enter the default password 1234

▪ Follow prompts

▪ TRIVIAL PASSWORDS ARE NOT RECOMMENDED!

Passwords such as 1234 or 1111 should not be used


Main Menu Options

1 Listen to Messages

2 Send Messages

3 Listen to Save Messages

7    Change Mailbox Options

      1   Record greeting

      2   Set call handling mode

      3   Re-assign extension

      4   Set password

      5   Enable/disable envelope information

      6   Record name

      7   Listen to deleted messages

      8   Remove deleted messages

      9   Additional options

      *   Cancel

 

Record your Personal Greeting

▪ From the Main Menu, press 7

▪ Press to record your greeting ~                        follow the audio prompts to record, review & save.

 


Check your Voice Mail from your phone

▪ Press the Voice Mail button

▪ Enter your password and press # 

▪ Press to listen to new messages & follow the audio

prompts for more message options.


While listening, or at the end of the message:

0 Additional options, 1 Replay, 2 Save,3 Delete,4 Forward

5 Reply, 6 Play envelope,7 Move backward,8 Pause

9 Move forward,  # Skip, * Cancel

 

 

Check your Voice Mail from another phone

▪ Press the # key. At the tone, press the # key again.

▪ Enter your extension number

▪ Enter your password and press #

▪ Press to listen to new messages & follow the audio

prompts for more message options. 


Check your Voice Mail Remotely

▪ Call the School Main Number

▪ When you hear the greeting, press # 

▪ Follow the audio prompts to log in to your mailbox



Change your Extension Assignment

Assign your primary extension to another phone, when sitting at another desk:

▪ Log in to Voice Mail from the target phone ~            an extension other than your own.

▪ At the Main Menu prompt, press 7

▪ Press 3 to re-assign the extension

      Press 1 to assign the extension here

Press 2 to un-assign the extension           (extension reverts to its original extension)


Set the Call Handling Mode

▪ Log in to Voice Mail

▪ At the Main Menu prompt, press 7

▪ Press 2 to Set Call Handling Mode ~   follow the audio prompts to choose the desired Call Handling Mode.
