Selecting the correct speakers
By default your audio is set up to play through the speakers built into your monitor, however this can be changed if desired.
In the bottom right corner of Windows, click the speaker icon
A box will come up showing which audio device is being used. Click on the device and select another option in the list (note: headphones is often used for external speakers)
